Swami Vivekanand Subharti University has taken an initiative towards the adoption of energy conservation measures and established various alternate sources of energy within the campus to reduce and manage energy costs and make the environment eco-friendly.

Solutions: The University has implemented policies to promote gender equality, ensuring equal opportunities in education and employment, and raising awareness to challenge gender norms. The university conducts an Awareness Program on Gender Equality, Debates, essay writing competitions, and poster-making competitions on topics related to gender by the constituent faculties of the university on a regular basis. The university also schedules Training and awareness programs for women to protect them from domestic violence. The Gender sensitization programs are also being conducted regularly on the occasion of Youth day and Women’s day at constituent faculties of the university.

Regressive Facet TWO : Access to Education

Regressive facets: Limited access to quality education, especially in marginalized communities.

Solutions: The University is implementing policies to improve educational infrastructure, providing scholarships, and promoting education as a fundamental right for all. The University in its endeavour to impart quality education based on values & innovation has launched many schemes to encourage students to excel in their respective fields. There are various scholarships for different categories, such as the Meritorious Scholarship for high-performing students as an award, the Scholarship for staff in education under concessional educational facilities to employees and their wards, the 30% Scholarship for Retired Armed Forces Personnel: including Coast Guard & Assam Rifle, 100% waiver of Tuition Fees in Meritorious scholarship for Armed Forces Personnel inclusive of Paramilitary and Coast Guard Personnel and 30% of Ph.D. discount policy for Armed Forces Personnel and Para Military Personnel, etc.To implement “Education for all”, the university is imparting education through the regular mode of education, distance mode of education, and the online mode of education as well.

Regressive facets: Widening economic gaps, and lack of access to basic resources for impoverished communities.

Solutions: The University is implementing programs, to enhance job opportunities, and ensure fair economic policies to reduce wealth disparities. The university has its own Entrepreneurship Development Cell to Motivate students to pursue Entrepreneurship as their career. EDP support and mentor students in the identification and development of their innovative ideas. EDP organizes business plan competitions with the involvement of industries. The University guide and assist prospective entrepreneurs in various aspects as preparing project reports and obtaining loans etc. to start on business, and arrange interaction with diverse entrepreneur.

Regressive Facet FOUR: Environmental Degradation

Regressive Facets: Unsustainable practices leading to environmental degradation, pollution, and resource depletion.

Solutions: The University is implementing and enforcing environmental regulations, promoting sustainable practices, and investing in renewable energy sources. The University has taken an initiative to protect the surrounding environment through a Waste Management Mechanism for which the University has been following the rules and regulations of the “Government of India” related to Waste Management since before 2015. Subsequently, in view of the National mission of Clean & Green Environment University is following the guidelines of Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan. The University is actively engaged in extension and outreach activities related to environmental consciousness among the rural and urban communities in which students, as well as faculty members, contribute respectively. University has created a Waste Management Mechanism via some significant deeds such as:
