Business & Specialty Media Academy

Business and Specialty Media Academy

Prime Minister Modi’s vision of creating a USD 5 trillion economy would need innovative initiatives and interventions from across the aisle. Academia for that matter can contribute its bit in creating an amply empowered and enlightened workforce to that effect.

ReTHINK INDIA has thereby taken upon itself the task of mentoring techno-managerial students into the emerging and specialized practice of Business & Specialty Media.

Techno-Managerial Institutions may nominate 3-5 students from UG as well as PG programmes who have a flair for reading, writing, speaking, presenting, designing (graphic, web, mobile), researching, networking, organising etc.

The trainees would be subjected to an intense mode of orientation sessions at our Sector -137, Noida Center coupled with project work leading to the curation of a Community of Practice.

The nominated students would be filling a detailed performa and a statement of purpose to avail a complete waiver of the tuition fee. The entire programme is completely free of cost as is endowed by Shri Radhika Center of Education, USA.

The shortlisted candidates however have to commit themselves to pursue the practice of Business & Specialty Media as a viable career option.

Nominations can be sent to director@rethinkindia.in

Re-engineering India

Integral Humanism
Synthesizing the Quartet of
Dharma, Artha, Kama, Moksha
for Lasting Global Peace & Prosperity

Pt. Deen Dayal Upadhyaya

Propounder of the Philosophical Foundations of Integral Humanism
(Born 25th September 1916 – Dead 11th February 1968)

Humankind, according to Upadhyaya, has four hierarchically organized attributes of body, mind, intellect and soul which corresponded to the four universal objectives of dharma (moral duties), artha (wealth), kama (desire or satisfaction), and moksha (total liberation or ‘salvation’). While none could be ignored, dharma is the ‘basic’, and moksha the ‘ultimate’ objective of humankind and society. He claimed that the problem with both capitalist and socialist ideologies is that they only consider the needs of body and mind, and were hence based on the materialist objectives of desire and wealth.

According to Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya’s Integral Humanism, the primary concern in India should be to develop an indigenous development model that has human beings as its core focus. It is opposed to both western capitalist individualism and Marxist socialism, though welcoming to western science. Integral Humanism seeks a middle ground between capitalism and socialism, evaluating both systems on their respective merits, while being critical of their excesses and alienness.

Integral Humanism rejects social systems in which individualism ‘reigns supreme’. It also rejects communism in which individualism is ‘crushed’ as part of a ‘large heartless machine’. Society, according to Upadhyaya, rather than arising from a social contract between individuals, was fully born at its inception itself as a natural living organism with a definitive ‘national soul’ or ‘ethos’ and its needs of the social organism paralleled those of the individual.

eduSOLUTIONS Portfolio

The National Education Policy 2019 has come out with a comprehensive vision and action plan pertaining to the incorporation of Technology in Education. The Chapter 19 of the aforesaid NEP2019 Document lays down the Objective of Technology in Education as

Appropriate integration of technology into all levels of education – to support teacher preparation and development; improve teaching, learning and evaluation processes; enhance educational access to disadvantaged groups; and streamline educational planning, administration and management.

The Policy document goes on to classify Technology in Education broadly into four categories, three of which are concerned directly with students, teachers and classroom processes.

The first and most important area is teacher preparation and their CPD. It is essential for teachers to receive adequate training in how to leverage technology to improve educational outcomes. Teacher preparation may itself leverage technology (e.g. through the use of online courses), but the quality of training must be of the highest quality.

A second important area where technology can be impactful is in the classroom processes of teaching, learning and evaluation. Technology based tools must be created in response to challenges in these areas, in a continuous process. The tools must be carefully evaluated to ensure that they address the challenges without creating additional new ones.

The third area is the use of technology to improve access to education for disadvantaged groups, including differently-abled students, girls and women, and students living in remote areas.

The fourth area is the planning, administration and management of the entire education system.

ReTHINK INDIA has taken upon itself the task of classifying the various eduSOLUTIONS in the market in the aforesaid segmentation and present their veracity and efficacy in a case study format to the larger community of educators so that these fascinating eduSOLUTIONS no longer continue their stature as yet another commodity to differentiate but a sought after transformational tool in the areas deployed.

Enlightened Electorate

Elections are an integral component of a thriving democracy.  Like Examinations their integrity and importance need to be duly impregnated into the psyche of the electorate.  Educational Institutions at large have thereby the sacred responsibility of nurturing this very hands-on competence of its students in addition to the teaching of Civics/Political Science within the Classrooms.

In every election, voter and civic education are necessary to ensure that all constituents— men and women alike —understand their rights, their political system, the contests they are being asked to decide, and how and where to vote.

For an election to be successful and democratic, voters must understand their rights and responsibilities, and must be sufficiently knowledgeable and well informed to cast ballots that are legally valid and to participate meaningfully in the voting process. Voter and civic education is thereby a critical component of an all round educational regime as elections do have an unprecedented impact on the future of the constituency, state as well as a the country depending on the type of election being contested. It’s thereby important to extend this very aspect to create a much larger Enlightened Electorate.

Students of Class 6-12 shall be eligible to participate in this one of its kind unique programme which shall entail the essence of CIVICS Curriculum in an interesting activity oriented format which makes these learnings a life long asset.  Faculty Coordinators need to be deputed to carry on the various activities within and outside the classrooms on a weekly basis.

Dr. Syama Prasad Mookerjee Commendation for Education 2019

“Be it stressing on the importance of Indian languages, the need to stay connected with the nation’s civilizational strength and rich heritage, walking in step with the rest of the world in science and technology and shaping Indian Education in a manner that it would appreciate the best of all religions rather than be totally cut off from them, Mookerjee’s insights on education were essentially to facilitate the rediscovering the Indian mind.”

The modern Indian scholar must have the training and the vision to connect our ancient history and civilisation with our present needs and conditions, and to suggest rules of conduct and formulate an outlook on life which the Indian society of today can worthily accept.
